Gambaran Pengetahuan Kesehatan Gigi dan Pengetahuan Menyikat Gigi Yang Benar di Sekolah Dasar Negeri I Jatisrono

Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan aspek penting yang harus diperhatikan sejak usia sekolah dasar karena pada masa ini anak mulai membentuk kebiasaan menjaga kebersihan gigi yang berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Jatisrono, tercatat sebanyak 101 siswa mengalami karies gigi. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan pengetahuan menyikat gigi yang benar pada siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Jatisrono. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik simple random sampling dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 66 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner pengetahuan kesehatan gigi sebanyak 20 item dan ceklis wawancara pengetahuan menyikat gigi sebanyak 6 item. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kesehatan gigi yang baik sebanyak 31 siswa (47,0%), namun pada pengetahuan menyikat gigi yang benar masih didominasi kategori kurang yaitu 34 siswa (51,5%). Kesimpulan: Pengetahuan kesehatan gigi siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Jatisrono sebagian besar dalam kategori baik, sedangkan pengetahuan menyikat gigi yang benar dalam kategori kurang.
