Penerapan Senam Jantung Sehat untuk Menurunkan Tekanan Darah pada Lansia dengan Hipertensi

Abstract

Fenomena ageing population menyebabkan peningkatan jumlah lanjut usia yang berdampak pada meningkatnya prevalensi penyakit degeneratif, salah satunya hipertensi. Hipertensi Indonesia mencapai 63.309.620, Provinsi Jawa Tengah sebanyak 7.985.534. Kabupaten Karanganyar tercatat 154.571 usia ≥60 tahun. Kondisi ini berisiko menimbulkan komplikasi kardiovaskular apabila tidak dikendalikan. Salah satu intervensi nonfarmakologis yang dapat diterapkan adalah senam jantung sehat. Tujuan: Mendeskripsikan hasil penerapan senam jantung sehat terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada lansia dengan hipertensi. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain studi kasus deskriptif pada dua lansia penderita hipertensi. Intervensi dilakukan dua kali setiap minggu selama tiga minggu dengan durasi 20–40 menit setiap sesi. Tekanan darah diukur sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan sphygmomanometer dan lembar observasi. Hasil: Tekanan darah responden pertama menurun dari 159/95 mmHg menjadi 144/86 mmHg, responden kedua dari 157/95 mmHg menjadi 142/89 mmHg, hasil menunjukkan adanya perbaikan tekanan darah setelah intervensi. Kesimpulan: Senam jantung sehat merupakan intervensi nonfarmakologis yang dapat membantu menurunkan tekanan darah pada lansia dengan hipertensi.
