Penerapan Brisk Walking Exercise terhadap Perubahan Tekanan Darah pada Penderita Hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Cepogo, Kabupaten Boyolali

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang ditandai dengan peningkatan tekanan darah di atas batas normal dan meningkatkan risiko komplikasi kardiovaskular. Salah satu terapi nonfarmakologis yang dapat membantu menurunkan tekanan darah adalah Brisk Walking Exercise. Tujuan: Mendeskripsikan hasil penerapan Brisk Walking Exercise terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Cepogo. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus deskriptif pada dua penderita hipertensi, yaitu Ny. S dan Ny. M. Tekanan darah diukur sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan sphygmomanometer digital. Brisk Walking Exercise dilakukan selama 30 menit dengan kecepatan 4–6 km/jam, 3 kali per minggu selama 2 minggu. Hasil: Sebelum intervensi, tekanan darah Ny. S sebesar 150/92 mmHg dan Ny. M sebesar 155/96 mmHg. Setelah intervensi, tekanan darah Ny. S menurun menjadi 115/76 mmHg dan Ny. M menjadi 119/78 mmHg. Kesimpulan: Brisk Walking Exercise dapat membantu menurunkan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu terapi nonfarmakologis dalam pengendalian hipertensi.
