Penerapan Senam Kaki terhadap Perubahan Kadar Glukosa Darah Sewaktu pada Penderita Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II

Abstrak

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) tipe II merupakan penyakit kronis yang memerlukan pengelolaan berkelanjutan untuk mengontrol kadar glukosa darah. Salah satu intervensi nonfarmakologis yang dapat diterapkan secara mandiri adalah senam kaki diabetes. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perubahan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu sebelum dan sesudah penerapan senam kaki pada penderita DM tipe II. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain studi kasus deskriptif dengan dua responden penderita DM tipe II di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Gambirsari. Penerapan senam kaki dilakukan selama empat hari berturut-turut dengan durasi 30 menit setiap sesi. Pengukuran kadar glukosa darah sewaktu dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan glukometer, sedangkan proses pelaksanaan dicatat melalui lembar observasi. Hasil: Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan adanya penurunan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pada kedua responden. Pada hari terakhir penerapan, kadar glukosa darah sewaktu Ny. S menurun dari 181 mg/dL menjadi 162 mg/dL, dengan selisih 19 mg/dL, sedangkan Ny. M menurun dari 190 mg/dL menjadi 156 mg/dL, dengan selisih 34 mg/dL. Secara keseluruhan, kadar glukosa darah sewaktu menunjukkan kecenderungan menurun setelah penerapan senam kaki selama empat hari. Kesimpulan: Penerapan senam kaki diabetes menunjukkan adanya perubahan dan penurunan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pada penderita DM tipe II. Senam kaki dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu intervensi nonfarmakologis dan aktivitas mandiri untuk membantu mengontrol kadar glukosa darah pada penderita DM tipe II.
