Abstract

Latar Belakang: Infeksi Saluran Kemih (ISK) terjadi ketika mikroorganisme memasuki saluran kemih dan berkembang biak menjadi infeksi. Dampak dari ISK dapat terjadi berulang kali dan menimbulkan komplikasi parut pada ginjal. Kebiasaan buruk dalam menjaga kebersihan diri terutama pada kemaluan menjadi faktor risiko terjadinya ISK. Pengetahuan yang baik tentang personal hygiene berperan penting dalam mencegah ISK.  Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan personal hygiene dengan gejala infeksi saluran kemih (ISK) pada mahasiswi Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 97 mahasiswi Program Studi S1 Kebidanan angkatan 2025. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 53 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil: Sebanyak 47 orang (88,7%) memiliki pengetahuan personal hygiene yang baik, sebanyak 4 orang (7,5%) kategori cukup, dan kategori kurang sebanyak 2 orang (3,8%). Sebanyak 28 orang (52,8%) tidak terdapat gejala ISK, sebanyak 25 orang (47,2%) mengalami gejala ISK. Hasil uji statistic diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,354 dan nilai p-value sebesar <0,023 (p<0,05). Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan personal hygiene dengan gejala infeksi saluran kemih pada mahasiswi di Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. Kekuatan hubungan dalam kategori rendah dan bersifat positif, yang berarti pengetahuan personal hygiene yang lebih baik tidak secara otomatis menurunkan gejala infeksi saluran kemih pada mahasiswi.
